Mark Murray, LPC, BCB
Mark Murray is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri since 1991 and a Board Certified Biofeedback Practitioner since 1981. He completed his B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville in 1975. In March of 1979, he received another minor in Biology and his Master of Science in Counselor Education in 1980, again from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.
Mark earned his National Certification in 1981 from the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America in Louisville, Kentucky. Mark has been working with biofeedback techniques with individuals for physical problems, migraines, exercise, sleep management, and anxiety. He has had extensive experience in teaching relaxation and stress management techniques to individuals and groups, giving workshops to (then) McDonnell-Douglas, various schools and churches in St. Charles, MO and in-services to area hospitals.
Mark was at St. Louis University Hospital for 10 years, where he worked as a Bio Behavioral Therapist in the department of Behavioral Medicine/Psychiatry and later at SSM Rehab with chronic pain patients. Mark has used his educational and professional expertise to help others grow and teaching them to reduce/deal with their problems in a healthier way. He has, through his skills and knowledge of relaxation, biofeedback, and most recently, his study of neurofeedback, been able to build a foundation for helping others with problems that they have not been able to find help for from other sources.
Mark’s professional objective has always been to “see new ideas born and to help them grow along with the concepts already there.” Now, 30 years later, this is still Mark’s objective as he is continuing his training with new treatment techniques. Mark has worked in the greater St. Louis area since 1980.
