Psychological Services

Psychological services have been part of CORE Services, Inc. since our founding in 1999. We believe that psychological treatment can help improve an individual’s emotional life and their physical health.

Our practitioners have experience treating children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Our counselors are licensed and experienced in a variety of treatment techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, guided imagery, meditation, EMDR, and trauma treatment techniques. CORE Services, Inc. is unique in being one of the only area providers of biofeedback and neurofeedback treatment. In fact, our Vice President, Mark Murray LPC, is among the longest serving biofeedback licensed practitioners in the country. Based on the individual case, our clinicians may use a single treatment type or a combination. For example, a patient with depression may experience greater more lasting results using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and neurofeedback.

We use our knowledge and experience for counseling a variety of purely mental health related conditions from basic to complex cases. Conditions we treat include, but are not limited to: anxiety, ADHD, depression, sleep problems, stress, autistic spectrum, self–esteem issues, grief and loss, PTSD and chronic illness. Given our relationship with our physical therapy staff we are also ideally suited to treat mental health issues related to medical conditions. These include sleep issues, pain problems such as (migraine or tension headaches, TMD, low back and other pains), traumatic brain injury, Raynauds, torticollis, asthma, IBS and other conditions that may relate to stress.

While we understand that simply making the choice to seek help can be very difficult, it is also a step forward to addressing the individual’s problems. We provide a safe and supportive atmosphere for open communication. We look at the individual needs of each patient and create a workable treatment plan. We also believe in coordinating treatment with other healthcare professionals to most effectively treat each individual.

Payment is always an issue of concern for any medical, but particularly for mental health issues. Our counselors accept most insurance. Biofeedback treatment may or may not be covered by the individual’s insurance plan. Regardless of insurance coverage we always strive to come to a payment arrangement that is meets the patient’s ability to pay.
